Abstract
APA accredited programs and those seeking accreditation are asked to describe throughout the self study how they actively engage in ongoing quality improvement efforts. However, in practice, these plans may be forgotten or training teams may not know how to best use the data that is collected. This session will focus on helping training programs effectively make use of intern and alumni feedback in a manner that allows for real-time program enhancements and long-term sustainability. Case studies will be used to demonstrate practical strategies.
Learning Objectives
- Describe APA expectations around quality improvement.
- Identify key types and sources of feedback collected from interns and alumni throughout the training cycle.
- Name at least 3 practical strategies for real-time use of intern and alumni feedback.
- Develop a plan for use of feedback for continuous quality improvement.
