This webinar provides participants with an overview of how to address Review Criterion 2 and Review Criterion 3 in the GPE grant application. More specifally, this webinar includes instruction and tools to assist with putting together a work plan, a logic model, and an evaluation plan. Best practices on how to address these components in the grant narrative were also discussed.

  • Utilize information and tools to develop a project workplan and address implementation challenges.
  • Utilize information and tools to develop a logic model and link project outcomes to HRSA outcomes.
  • Utilize information and tools to develop an evaluation plan that meet utility and feasibility standards.

Tamara DeHay, PhD, is the President of Clover Educational Consulting Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and consultative activities to advance the training of healthcare providers. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and is certified as a Health Services Psychologist by the National Register. Dr. DeHay earned her doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has demonstrated expertise and experience leading large-scale behavioral health initiatives, developing outreach and training networks across the nation, working within and across interdisciplinary environments, and monitoring and evaluating activities within Federally-funded grant projects. Dr. DeHay co-led the development of a Suicide Prevention Toolkit for Rural Primary Care Providers, which has been disseminated internationally, and has conducted related trainings and evaluations internationally in order to improve the suicide prevention practices of primary and interdisciplinary healthcare settings. She also contributed to the launch of the National Training and Technical Assistance Center for Primary and Behavioral Health, providing direct technical assistance and consultation to the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. As a consultant on this project, funded by HRSA and SAMHSA, Dr. DeHay co-led a 7-State, 10-site Regional Learning Community dedicated to facilitating knowledge exchange and systems improvement among the community health and behavioral health settings who were funded as pilot sites for Primary and Behavioral Health Integration. Dr. DeHay has additionally led a national psychology internship development and accreditation initiative, and currently oversees a team of consultants who provide extensive consultation and technical assistance to doctoral internship programs across the nation. Dr. DeHay is involved in multiple other activities addressing health workforce development and capacity building and has served as a past editor of APA’s Journal of Rural Mental Health.

Dr. Juliana Rosa is Director of Research and Evaluation at Clover Educational Consulting Group and current president of the Colorado Evaluation Network. Dr. Rosa has over 12 years of experience in applied research and program evaluation in the areas of health and social psychology, behavioral health, prevention, harm reduction, K-12 education, family enrichment, as well as workforce development. She also has over 7 years of experience in state and federal grant making and evaluation. During her career, Dr. Rosa has partnered with several independent evaluation organizations, nonprofits, local education agencies, universities, and government agencies in building evaluation systems, increasing evaluation capacity, improving data accessibility, and utilizing data results to influence positive programmatic, organizational, and policy change.
