Clover Educational Consulting Group is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Clover Educational Consulting Group maintains responsibility for this program and its content

About the Training:

You have completed your doctorate, one year of internship, your postdoctoral SPE, and you have finally received your license number from the Board: congratulations! If you are like most new psychologists, chances are that none of your training taught you about small business accounting, legal entities, tax implications, building a clientele, or advertising. You have done the hard work to become a psychologist. In this training, we will cover what you need to know to turn your clinical skills into a profitable, impactful business.

Educational Objectives:

  • Identify steps needed to open a practice, based on current level of training (recent graduate, SPE completed, licensed psychologist)
  • Make an informed decision about running a fee for service versus insurance-based practice
  • Gain an introductory level understanding of basic systems available to run a private practice (basic accounting tools, HER, advertising, etc.)
